Gran Torino

Did you know CSULB has a full blown movie theatre on campus in the USU? Well to be honest I didn't but after seeing an advertisement for Gran Torino in the Union I decided to give it a try. Now even though the springs poked out of the seats in the theatre I can't really complain. I mean I had the entire theatre to myself (is that sad?) well regardless it was definitely worth the $2 admission. Having spoken with a few friends and asking how they felt about the film it was pretty unanimous and well frankly I have to agree. The best $2 I've spent in a long time. You won't be disappointed.

Over my hiatus

Sorry for the absence folks, life has been incredibly busy but I'm sure you can all understand. I mean with the global financial market in shambles and U.S. unemployment at an all time high (and counting). I'm sure you have had more important thing to worry about.

With that being said I have decided to kick off this post with some random pictures I've accumalated. Unfortunately I do not have any info regarding the following pics, that's what makes them random.

Enjoy

I never thought I would say it but I'm actually proud to say I'm American.
At lease for a day haha.

Martin Luther King Jr.

As I listen to his "I Have a Dream" speech given on August 28, 1963
I'll leave you with this photo of the great Dr.

I believe it speaks for it's self.

Don't believe everything you see...

So I woke up early today decided to catch up on some reading and what did I find...

the reality of it is photographers, image consultants and stylists spend a lot of time, energy and money manipulating photos for a desired effect. With a simple click of a button and stroke of a mouse they can remove blemishes, add breast and shave off pounds... point being it's adding to a trend in which we admire artificial beauty. A beauty that doesn't really exist.

Shout out to Epoxy, Mr Talion, Baveux & Kone the artists responsible for this adbuster.
Their handy work can be found at the Kaiserdamm metro station in Berlin, Germany.
